Our Mission

Our mission is to provide services to the Veterans of the Mountain Empire that include, but not limited to, assistance with connection to services at the VA Healthcare System and the Veterans Benefits Administration, filing for Service Connected and Non-Service Connected Disability claims, discharge upgrades, filing for permanent housing through the HUD-VASH Program, food delivery for shut-ins,

and additional assistance through ancillary programs available, job bank and job application and mock interview assistance.

Our Services

Services we provide: 

  1. Assistance with filing Service Connected and Non Service Connected disability claims.
  2. Assistance with filing Discharge upgrades.
  3. Assistance retrieving Military Records.
  4. Group meetings (PTSD, Substance Use Disorder, budgeting, banking, credit repair). 
  5. Training for job interviews, (with filmed, mock interviews).
  6. Counseling/mentoring/coaching (toward homes and businesses).
  7. Needs assessment (mental health, substance use, housing, income).
  8. Liaison with homeless shelters.
  9. DAV liaison.
  10. Veteran Hospital liaison.

Meet Kevin Martin, The Camp Lockett Veterans Resource Center

A  Marine Corps Veteran of four years who served in the Pacific Tour from 1974 through 1978. He was discharged to employment at the Naval Supply Center, Oakland Ca. Selected for training in an apprenticeship program as a WG-11 Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic. He acquired a Real Estate Salesperson License while still employed at NSC, Oakland. 

Over his career he worked in the Computer Industry as a Computer Technician and Network Technician in Silicon Valley at eBay and Electronic Arts. 

In 2008 Kevin began employment at the Veterans Administration Palo Alto Healthcare System. While with the VA Kevin worked as a Peer Specialist, doing Outreach, trained as a Wellness Recovery Action PLan (WRAP) Facilitator, trained in the PTSD Series for Operation Enduring Freedom(OEF)  and Operation Iraqi Freedom  (OIF) Veterans. Also a CORE Mentor and Coach for the Veterans Hospital Administration,  and Military Sexual Trauma Certified. Kevin retired from Mental Health Services in 2019

Kevin volunteers his services as Administrator of the Camp Lockett Veterans Resource Center. He can be found at most Camp Lockett events either taking your food orders or taking pictures.
